Mojo's. I don't even know where to begin. If ever a coffeehouse had attitude, this one has it. Owned by a young
man in his twenties, Mojo's is the quintessential coffeehouse. Ugly art covers the walls with price tags that read
hysterically enormous amounts. A mish mash of furniture invades the small space, but seems quite natural in the little
house. Everything on the menu is generally under $3. A "cup o'jo" is $1.00, and a large is $1.25, but refills are only
$.50. They sell a wide variety of beers, perhaps because or as a result of that, the clientele consists of older
students and adults.
The smoking section inside is tiny, and the whole place gets very hot and musty. The outside patio is pleasant,
except for the fact that the tables are slats of stone which is difficult to write on, especially with the little light
they have available in the evening. The service is kind, and there is often something going on at Mojo's on the weekend
if not a poetry reading than a DJ playing strange music. Another cool practice Mojo's has kept up, is a bulliten board
on which people are asked to pin up their writings and poems. It makes for an interesting read.
